The Unaffordable Care Act

It’s time to take the gloves off about the so-called Affordable Care Act signed in 2010 by President Obama. It is a failure IF it was intended to cut costs (I suspect otherwise). Never in history have government subsidies and mandates led to lower prices. 

On Thursday July 9th, the WSJ featured an article describing how the "Affordable Care Act" has led to a sharp increase in healthcare costs well above CPI. Healthcare services are up 60% since the ACA passed. See the article linked below.

Insurance companies are again requesting double digit rate increases from the government - on top of big rate increases last year. They are attempting to stay ahead of rising costs. Meanwhile, they’re dropping Obamacare plans as fast as possible. Great work, people!
